Kohl or pencil, gel, liquid, powder you are spoilt for choices when it comes to eyeliners. You either end up buying the one that s the easiest to apply or follow the trend and buy what s in! But whatever, you settle for, the way you apply the eyeliner can make a huge difference. If you want to ace the eyeliner watch this video and also take note of these few tips.

Be gentle during application: Don t rush the process as it will only end up spoiling your entire makeup and redoing the whole thing all over again is certainly not something that you would want.

Avoid clumps: To prevent clumping of the eyeliner, move your wand in quick horizontal moves while the application. Follow these tips to apply coloured eye liner the right way.

Sharpen eye pencil: The best thing to do is always to use a sharpened eye pencil and then apply the liner. That way your hands will be steady, and you will put it back in the cap in its initial position. Sharpen the tip of the pencil from time to time. A blunt tip will give you thicker lines.

Practice to get it right: Try to get the line as straight as possible. The best way to achieve this is by standing in front of the mirror and practising. Make a single clean sweep with the pencil to get it right. You can then make it darker or thicker if you wish.

And if your waterline application never seems to go smooth, follow these tips:

• Since the inner rims of your eyes are very delicate, you would want to use a liquid liner to reduce the drag. Always use a waterproof formula since the area can be prone to smudging.
• Glide the liner from the outer part of the eyes towards the inner (the nose). Gently pull your skin down on the bottom eyelid and use back and forth to create a distinct line. Look straight ahead for easy application of your inner lids.
