How to apply pressure to the points

Use your middle finger for self-acupressure since this finger is the longest and strongest of your fingers. The thumb is strong, but this finger may not have the sensitivity required for acupressure. You can also use your knuckles or your fist if your fingers hurt or are weak.

Keeping your pressure source at a 90 degree angle from the surface of the skin, apply slow but firm pressure on the point. Apply and release the pressure gradually and gently. This will give your body time to respond and promote healing.
