Must have brushesYou might be an absolute make-up lover, but you need to ensure that your kit possesses the most important brushes to give you the look you ultimately want. Awareness about make-up tools and brushes you need to use, only helps understand the application of products better.

Professional make-up artist Twisha Ganjoo lists 8 basic brushes you can't miss out on, as part of your make-up kit.

Eye-liner brush 1. Eyeliner brush

Flat and often angled, the eyeliner brush is used to achieve a precise shape, defining your eyes. This brush is great for defining the eye shape and is a must-have for achieving the ultimate cat wing.

2. Fluffy eyeshadow brush Eyeshadow brush

This brush is like a magic tool for blending eyeshadow colours together or softening the edges of a smokey eye. Highlighters and bronzers can be easily blended with the fluffy bristles on this brush.

Bronzer or blusher brush 3. Blusher or bronzer brush

Blusher brushes are usually round, with a small handle and short bristles. Use this brush to apply blush to the apples of your cheeks, which you will notice the moment you smile. For bronzer, lightly sweep the color with this brush around your temples, nose and cheek bones.

4. Powder brushPowder brush

Powder is an important element because it sets the makeup. Swirl this fluffy big brush in your preferred powder pot, flick off the excess and buff onto your face.

Concealer brush5. Concealer brush

The concealer brush is often confused with an eye shadow brush because of its shape. A good concealer brush will be slightly narrow, allowing exact application to tricky areas around the nose, under the eyes and mouth. Brushes like this one help you apply just the right amount of product, and blend it in the area only where spot correction is needed.

6. Lip brush Lip-stick brush

Good lip brushes often have a long handle and short strong bristles for precise application. They give you way more control than applying straight from the lipstick, so they're perfect for bold colors. Besides, a pointy tip always makes for a great way to line your lips without using a lip liner pencil!

Eyebrow brush 7. Eyebrow brush

These brushes usually come with a two-for-one feature: an angled brush on one end for filling in and shaping brows, and a mascara brush on the other for blending out any harsh strokes of color and grooming the eyebrow hair into place. These make the perfect tools for a tattooed eyebrow illusion.

8. Beauty blender

This egg shaped sponge blends make up without creating changes in the texture or tone of your skin. Use the pointed side for hard-to-reach spots like those around the nose and mouth, and under the eyes. Use the round base for foundation and blush on the larger areas of your face such as your forehead, cheeks and chin. This not only covers all the pores and perforations on the skin, but is an affordable solution to 3D airbrush makeup looks.

Once you pack your kit with these, and begin with the make-up application you will realise the importance of 'less is more.'
