No matter how stunning your hairstyle is, it always ends up looking limp and dried out within a few hours on scanty and rather fine hair. It's more or less been a task to have your hair look thicker and luscious, right? However, here are easy thin-hair hacks to get your hair to look thicker than they actually are:

Style lightly

Many of us may think that styling hair aggressively means that it would all happen much quicker. That s wrong! You may end up weighing down your natural-bouncy volume and damage your tresses in the process. Go easy while using rounded brushes and blow-drying. Are these everyday habits causing hair-breakage?

Avoid over-bleaching hair

Another factor that matters is overdoing your hair colour. This is especially if you have bleached your hair and do it over and over again. You are deteriorating your hair texture, so beware!

Opt for short haircuts

For fine hair, it s best to stick to short, mid length haircuts. This is easier to maintain, adds more volume with the steps and layers and creates great texture. The bob cut would look just great or a chic blunt cut which is a little above your shoulders. Know how to style short hair to perfection.

Apply hair mousse

One product that could work to your benefit is a hair mousse. To ensure that the product doesn't weigh your hair down, take a golf ball bout of this on your palm and get it onto your comb. Then on damp hair, comb your hair through the product from mid-length to the ends of your hair. Do this gently and don't tug too hard. Do you have frizzy hair? Here is how you can style it better.

Wear the perfect hair-parting

The appearance of your scalp makes your hair looks extremely scanty. So define your hair parting accordingly and don't clip or tie your hair too tight, this makes it look even more flat.

Flip your hair

If you want some natural-volume and are leaving your hair loose, then bend down and flip your hair and jerk back. This lets your locks fall well on your face and keeps away from looking limp. The technique trades away your heated hair styling too.

Use rounded brushes

Even if you are blow-drying your hair or want to give it a quick bounce, use a barrel sized rounded brush. This means your waves will look big and thick. Also, use large Velcro rollers only around your crown area and curl inward. If you want to wake up with beautiful curls the next morning, here is what you should do.

Back comb and tease hair

This is another easy technique to trick your hair into looking much thicker. Take a rat-tail comb and start teasing your hair from the roots and downward. To make it look neater make sure you have back combed the hair well, just run your hair through some light combing. This works well to enhance your crown portion. You can do this while tying a ponytail too. Want fun ways to style a ponytail? Try these!
