Keeping the skin clean and free of excess oil and sweat can reduce the formation of acne. You can try using these affordable, all natural and homemade face packs to speed along the healing process of acne.

Oatmeal and egg white face pack

Oatmeal can be very effective in relieving the symptoms of acne. It has soothing and exfoliating properties that can remove dead skin cells and soak up excess oil from your skin. The egg whites help to tighten and shrink the pores of the skin. Also try using these oats face pack for a glowing skin.

Steps to use:

  • Cook cup of oatmeal in 1/3 cup of water and allow it to cool.
  • Now mix one egg white to the cooked oatmeal.
  • Also add 1 teaspoon olive oil to get a smooth mixture. The olive oil in the pack will help to moisturise the skin.
  • Mix all the ingredients well.
  • Now apply it on your face and let it sit for 30 minutes. Then wash it off with cold water.
  • Use this pack every alternate day to get rid of acne quickly.

Rose water and fenugreek seeds face pack

Rose water is a good moisturising agent with antibacterial properties. It contains phenyl ethanol, a compound which acts as an antiseptic that can be used to treat acne. The rose water will help to dry the acne and the fenugreek seeds will help in preventing the eruption of pimples.

Steps to use:

  • Soak some fenugreek seeds in water overnight and grind them into a fine paste.
  • Now add 2 tablespoons of rose water to this paste to make a smooth mixture.
  • Apply this paste on your face. Leave it for 20 minutes and rinse your face with cold water.
  • It is best to use this paste daily to keep acne at bay.

Multani miiti and turmeric face pack

Fuller s earth or multani mitti has been in use as a skin care product since ages. The rich content of magnesium chloride in multani mitti helps in the reduction of acne. It s healing properties also aid in reducing the redness of the skin. Turmeric reduces the oil secretion by sebaceous glands which lead to acne. Here are some more multani mitti face packs for a flawless skin.

Steps to use:

  • Combine 4 tablespoons of multani mitti with 2 tablespoons of rose water.
  • Now add 2 teaspoons of turmeric powder to it.
  • Apply this paste on your face and neck avoiding the areas around your eyes.
  • Leave it to dry and then rinse it off with water.
  • Do not make too many facial movements while the paste is on your face.
  • This paste works very well for people with oily skin. You can apply this pack twice a week to get the desired results.

Grape face pack

Grapes help in scraping off the dead skin cells giving you a glowing skin. This fruit can help strengthen the blood vessels and improve the elasticity of the skin. The vitamins C and E in grapes also provide good moisturising properties to the skin. Also beat wrinkles with these grape face packs.

Steps to use:

  • Mash a few grapes and make a smooth paste out of it.
  • Now apply this paste on your face and leave it to dry for 10-15 minutes before washing it off.
  • If you have an oily skin you can add some oil absorbent like multani mitti to this paste.
  • Add avocado pulp with 2 teaspoons of honey and rose water each to this mash if you have dry skin.
  • You can use this pack 3 times a week to get an acne free skin.

Cinnamon and honey face pack

Cinnamon has strong antimicrobial properties that can reduce the occurrence of acne. Honey contains antioxidant properties that can help reduce the inflammation and swelling caused by acne.

Steps to use:

  • Mix 2 tablespoon cinnamon powder with a 2 teaspoon of honey to make a paste. Avoid adding water to this paste as it will destroy the action of honey.
  • Dab a little of the paste on the acne and leave it overnight.
  • Wash off with lukewarm water the next morning.
  • Repeat this for a few days till the acne completely vanishes.
