5 celeb styles worth borrowing

The red carpet feel is every girl's dream. Blake Lively's fun braid, Jessica Alba's stunning gold smokey eyes or Rihanna's classic red lips, get one step closer to these dazzling looks.

It s time for you to dig out that gown and get dressed or suit up, depending on who your favourite celebrities are. With the hottest celebrity red carpet trends doing the rounds, we tell you what you can do to infuse some of that characteristic celeb glamour into your look.

Here are some looks you ought to stake claim to:

Jessica Alba's summery smoky eyes: Avon global celeb make-up artist Lauren Anderson was inspired by her one-shouldered golden dress to create a goddess make-up look. Anderson used the medium shade eye shadow on the lid and the darker shade at the corners. She then lined the upper and bottom lash lines with an eye liner and layered a liquid eye liner over it. A black mascara completes the smoky and sensual look.

Jordana Brewster's strawberry pop lips: Celeb make-up artist Jamie Greenberg added a bright strawberry colour to Brewster's all-neutral look. Greenberg brushed on a dewy, fresh effect with a bronzing powder all over and applied some shimmering cream on the cheeks. The look is then completed with a tinge of lip gloss.

Judy Greer's braided hairstyle: Judy sported a delicate braid that is convenient to wear. Celebrity hairstylist Gregory Russell parted the hair in the centre, separated the crown section for later, and French braided each side back, fastening with clear elastic. Then, he braided the crown section. After roughing up each of the strands and pulling out a few face-framing strands, he pinned the side braids into two low buns. Lastly, he wrapped the crown braid to the knots and set the look with hairspray.

Rihanna s classic red carpet stunner: Rihanna s bright red lips at the 2013 Grammys were much talked about and this was one of her classic red carpet looks. Make up video blogger, MsRoshPosh has made it easy for us to get to this look: start by using a loose translucent powder to highlight the brow and eyelid, and contrast it with a darker eye shadow. Blend the harsh lines for a smoky effect; line your waterline with eyeliner pencil and create a winged shape with a brush. Mascara is applied on the top and bottom lashes with a pair of falsies at the top. Then bronze for proper face definition. Line and fill the lips up with a cherry pencil and layer with a matte red lipstick.

Blake Lively s loose braids: Braids are a rage today and Blake Lively knows how to shine on in her braids and she sure does it with style. They add to the sophistication and ditch the regular up-do hairstyles. At the opening of the Canne s festival Blake wore her hair in an over-the-shoulder loose braid. For a similar style, Blogger Kayleigh Noelle pulls all the hair to one side, splits it into three sections, and braids the middle section into a regular braid, pulls it out and messes it up a bit. Then weave this section into two other loose sections and mess it up at the end for a loose look.

Take your pick, and set out for a stunning night with these gorgeous red carpet looks.
