Rose water is a known natural and soothing cleanser for the skin. It is an instant remedy used to get that youthfulglow and it relieves various common problems like acne, skin tan, sun burn, blemishes, dark spots and puffy eyes.
Here are 5 easy rosewater face packs that you can make a part of your skincare regime:
1. Rose water with glycerine and lemon juice for skin ageing
Rose water is a great cleanser for the dirt often accumulated in the pores of our skin. It also helps tighten sagging skin. The astringent action present in rosewater gives firmness and reduces the puffiness under the eyes.
Preparation: Mix 2 teaspoons of rose water with 3-4 drops of glycerine and half a teaspoon of lemon juice. Apply this mixture to your face using a cotton ball every night.
2. Rose water and potato for blemishes
Potatoes and rose water, when used in combination can be good enough to clear skin blemishes and the dullness caused by dark spots. This mixture helps hydrate the skin, makes it supple and rejuvenates the skin surface.
Preparation: Peel a potato and chop itfinely. Then grind and add 3 teaspoons of rose water, 1 teaspoon of honey and a few drops of lemon juice to form a soft consistency paste. Apply this to the face for 15 minutes and wash well. Use this remedy once a week for glowing skin.
3. Rose water and sandalwood powder for all skin types
A face mask with rosewater and sandalwood is meant to relieve the skin from acne and works well with all skin types, be it oily, dry or combination skin.
Preparation: Add 2 teaspoons of sandalwood powder, a pinch of turmeric and mix with rose water. Apply this paste on the face, excluding the areas around the eyes and face, and leave it to dry for 20 minutes. Then wash this with cold water. The pack can be applied up to thrice a week.
4. Rose water and tomato juice for sun tan and sun burn
The excessive skin damage caused due sun exposure can be resolved with the astringent and anti-inflammatory properties present in rose water. Sun tan and sunburns in summer can be healed with a tonic like solution prepared with rosewater and tomato juice.
Preparation: Mix two spoons of tomato juice with 2 spoons of rose water;apply on your face to treat sun burn marks and excessive tan.
5. Rose water and fenugreek seeds for acne
Acne is the most common skin problem that we suffer from. Rose water is a soothing skin agent and helps treat acne due to its anti-inflammatory properties that work on cleansing such impurities.
Preparation:Soak some fenugreek seeds in water overnight and crush them, making a fine paste. Add rose water to this and apply it on your face. Leave it for 20 minutes and rinse in cold water.
