We all sometimes buy hair conditioner we don't end up using. Either it just doesn t work well enough or it simply doesn t suit your hair type. Whatever your excuse, there is no need to throw away that bottle of conditioner, here are great uses for it.

Use #1: The perfect addition to your home mani-pedi

A DIY mani-pedi is perfect for those days when you just want to soften your hands and feet and give them some tender loving care. But instead of using soap to clean your feet, add some conditioner to the warm water. It will not only help moisturise the skin on your hands and feet but will also soften dead skin; making it easier to scrub off.

Use #2: A potent cuticle softener

Overgrown cuticles or those that are hard become painful, can be difficult to get rid of and in some cases may even become infected. So, instead to investing in those expensive cuticle softners, try using conditioner instead. All you need to do, is soak your hands in some warm water and apply some conditioner on your cuticles, leave it on for a few minutes and then proceed to cut off the extra cuticles and push back the rest.

Use #3: The perfect substitute for shaving cream

If you are someone who shaves their arms, legs or underarms regularly, and have run out of shaving cream try using conditioner as a substitute. Just lather the conditioner on the part that you want to shave, and then use your razor. The conditioner helps moisturise the you skin and prevents itching right after you shave.

Used# 4: Is a great make-up remover

Removing make-up before you go to bed is essential to help keep your skin healthy. But if you need a substitute for makeup remover, then conditioner is a good option. Its creamy texture and ability to soften the skin helps remove make-up without harming you. To use this tip, just take some conditioner on a cotton ball or pad and apply it on your face. Now wipe off the area. Remember to wash your face with some water after removing your make-up with conditioner.

Use #5: Cleans and softens your make up brushes

If you use a make-up brush to apply eyeliner or lipstick it is best to wash them after use. A common problem that most people face after using a brush to apply makeup is that they become hard and the hair of the brush stick together. This can not only make it difficult to use again, but may also carry bacteria that can cause infections. A good way to get rid of this is to use conditioner to get rid of the hardened make-up and soften the brush. To use this tip, wet the brush, apply some conditioner on it, allow it to soak for a while before you wash it off.

Use #6: Is a great way to detangle hair

Conditioner not only helps soften your hair, but it is also perfect if your hair is too tangled to comb through. Combing through your hair when it is tangled will only lead to breakage and split ends, conditioner on the other hand moisturises and softens the shaft of the hair, making it easy and less painful to detangle. To use this tip, take a big dollop of conditioner, add it to a spray bottle with some water. Now spray the solution all over your hair, wait for a few minutes and then start detangling your hair.

Use #7: Helps to remove band aid painlessly

Often removing a band-aid can be quite painful, especially when it comes to kids. So, instead of having to go through the pain and tears, use conditioner to soften the band-aid glue and remove it painlessly. The conditioner when applied on the edges of the band-aid, permeates the layers, making it painless to remove. All you need to do is apply some conditioner along the edges of the band-aid, allow it to stay for a while and then peel off the band-aid. Remember not to apply it on the centre of the band-aid as it may seep into the wound below.
