Dr. Shweta Garg is a Senior Pathologist at the District Hospital in Chhatarpur. For the past 15 years, she has been actively involved in cancer awareness work among rural communities in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh. She has spread cancer awareness and educated more than 500,000 people, conducted over 100,000 screenings, and helped save more than 1.5 million lives through early diagnosis. She works extensively to raise awareness about breast cancer, cervical cancer, and oral cancer. Dr. Garg has also developed a cancer awareness app, which was launched by the Deputy Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. She conducts free screening camps in rural areas and performs Pap smear tests for cervical cancer, FNAC tests for breast lumps to detect breast cancer, and scrap cytology tests of oral lesions for the early detection of oral cancer. She is also the author of the book The Clinical Cases of Cytopathology.
