Dr. Vikram Kalra

Having done MBBS (graduation) and MD (post-graduation) from Mumbai, and DM (superspecialisation) in the field of Nephrology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi (2003), Dr. Kalra has researched as a Senior Research Associate in the Department of Nephrology at AIIMS for a period of 1.5 years. His clinical research has mainly been with post-renal transplant patients with pulmonary infections, the area of special interest being cardiorenal syndrome. Academically, he has many scientific presentations at national conferences, with over 35 publications in national and international journals, along with chapter contributions to books. Having had the privilege of being invited to various conferences as a guest speaker and for chairing scientific sessions, he has also been associated regularly with continuing education programmes and is actively involved in DNB (Medicine / Family Medicine) teaching programs and has been associated with students' theses under his guidance at Rockland Hospital, Mata Channan Devi Hospital, and Kalra Hospital. He has worked as a senior consultant at Rockland Hospital from 2005 to 2009 and then at the Fortis Group of Hospitals, Vasant Kunj, and the Escort Heart Institute (2009-2014). He is currently associated with Aakash Healthcare Super Speciality Hospital, Dwarka, as Additional Director in the Department of Nephrology and Renal Transplant.
