Infant mortality

Infant mortality is a term which defines the number of children who die in the first year of their birth. It’s often caused by malnutrition, poverty and access to basic healthcare services. About 4 in one hundred children die in the first year of their birth in India and over all 1.25 million die every year before they turn five.
