Millennials, you'll soon become parents. However, you know that times have changed drastically in the past few years and there's a need for you to teach the next generation something you were never taught by your parents.
Sensitivity to gender and sexuality: Gone are the days when the third gender wasn't considered. You'll have to teach your kids about gender neutrality, fluidity, homosexuality, etc.
To not be stereotypical: These days the people have become very vocal against stereotypical minds and at times you are sexist, judgmental or jump into conclusion even unknowingly is being pointed out. Hence, your kids must learn how to not be stereotypical.
Being vocal on social media: Social media didn't even exist during the 90s. But nowadays, being vocal on social media has different consequences and interpretation. To learn to put social media to good use is something we will need to teach our kids.
Gender equality: We have to teach our kids to not discriminate between the genders. In fact, we must not even act sexist in front of them.
Social media privacy: Teach the kids the importance of securing their social media account so that they don't fall prey to social media grooming.
Spending some outdoor time: We were not taught to spend some time outdoors as we were born before social media took over. But we'll have to teach our kids to keep the gadgets away.
Food adulteration: I won't say that food adulteration in my days didn't exist but not as much as it does now. We will have to teach our kids to grow their own food.
