Kumbhakasana or plank pose: Since you requires all your muscles to hold the position, you burn significant calories performing this yoga position. While you are in the plank position, you can burn more calories by raising one leg up.
Chaturanga dandasana: When you are in chaturanga dandasana, your core has to be contracted, your arms working to make a 90-degree angle with the elbows and your legs engaged. While this pose may look easy, it is incredibly challenging making you burn significant calories.
Chakrasana or the wheel pose: The wheel pose stretches not only the entire front of your body but also engages your buttocks, legs, shoulders, arms and thighs. If you can stay in the wheel pose even for 15 seconds, know that you have burned around 20 calories.

Utthita ashwa sanchalanasana or high lunge pose: The high lunge pose is a strengthening pose which requires a lot of balance. And since it makes your body work harder to hold the pose, you end up burning a lot of calories.
Surya namaskar or sun salutations: Just 12 rounds of surya namaskar or sun salutations can help you burn a whopping 80-90 calories. The series activates your cardiovascular system while engaging your calves, glutes, shoulders, biceps, triceps and abs.
