Walking: Yes, warm-up doesn't always need to be strenuous, you can even warm up by walking. However, makes sure you increase the pace after five minutes. And once your heart rate increases, it means you are ready!
Climb the stairs: Another simple yet effective warm-up technique is to climb stairs. Yes, all you need to do is go three to four floors down and then climb up before you start with Surya Namaskar.
Side stretching: If you do not want to go outdoors, then side stretching is the best way to warm up. Right from arm stretches to leg raises and stretching, anything can do till you feel the stretch and your body is ready.
Spot jogging: Another simple yet effective warm up routine is to do spot jogging. It not only boosts your metabolism but also burns calories and aids in weight loss.
Yoga asanas: You can even try simple yoga asanas before doing Surya Namaskar to prep up your body for it : Yoga asanas like trikonasana, paschimottanasana, tadasana, bhujangasana, marjariasana, vriksasana and pawanmuktasana series.
