You love mangoes and your child loves them too, so why not use mangoes as a bonding exercise. My daughter loves cooking/ baking with me and here are a few recipes we love making together. You should try it to.
Mango salsa: Give your toddler a butter knife and let her chop mango and cucumber, while you chop some cherry tomatoes and pepper (optional). Toss it all with some salt, pepper and a few sprigs of mint and you have yummy salsa ready.
Cheesecake: Grind 5 digestive biscuits with a spoon of butter. Let your child spoon this mix in a cheesecake mould and tap it flat. Follow it with a generous amount of cream cheese, and top it with mango pieces or pulp. Pop it in the freezer for half an hour and your yummy cheesecake is ready.
Mango-chicken sandwich: Cut slices from your leftover chicken roast. Slice a bun, while your child can cut mango pieces with a butter knife. Put in some lettuce on the bun, mango slices, chicken pieces and ta da -- chicken mango sandwich is ready.
Mango pie: Using the same recipe as cheesecake, simply replace the cream cheese with whipped cream to make the most delicious mango pie.
Mango smoothie: You can use pretty much anything you want in your smoothie. I, as in my toddler, usually puts in mangoes, some yogurt, mint leaves and a little raw honey. Blitz it up to make creamy, yummy smoothie.
