Prevent back pain: Your abs play a crucial role in supporting your entire core area. And if your back muscles are weak, the surrounding muscles need to work harder to hold your spine straight. So by training your core, you will reduce the risk of straining your back.
Perform daily activities with ease: You don’t realise how much you put your core muscles to work if when you bend to put something on the shelf or tie your shoes. The stronger is your core, the less energy and effort you have to put to do simple movements.
Weight loss: Working your core also helps you lose weight by toning your ab muscles and burning fat. So if you want to reduce your waistline, working your core is a must.
Prevent injuries: You might end up with a nasty injury if you are not working your core muscles enough during your strength training or cardio routine. Whether you are trying out kickboxing or doing some free hand exercises at home, a strong core can your body safe.
Improve posture: You will have a slouched spine and a poor posture if your midsection is weak. With a stable core, you will be able to stand up and sit up more comfortably. In fact, standing up straight will make you look slimmer.
Improve balance: Stabilising your core can help strengthen the pelvic muscles, lower back and hips so you can stay balanced on unstable surfaces and also react quickly. A strong core also helps you perform exercises and and play sports better.
