The temperature is soaring, and the one thing you can do to keep yourself cool is wearing the right type of clothes. Your fashion needs might push you to wear synthetic fabrics, but imagine reeking of sweat and skin rashes that you can't stop scratching. To avoid this discomfort, here's a list of fabrics you must avoid wearing in summer.
Leather--It is non breathable and doesn't allow air to circulate,. You end up feeling more hot and if you are wearing leather pants, you are bound to suffer from chaffing.
Net--While net clothes might be airy and you might not feel hot, but it will irritate your skin. It can cause rashes and redness and can make you really uncomfortable.
Polyester--It is one of the most common synthetic fabrics and is best used during the winter. Polyester too doesn't absorb water and holds the moisture in the fabric for a long time. Wear it on a hot sunny day you will start reeking of sweat. Also, since it holds the sweat, your skin becomes more prone to infections and rashes.
Satin--Satin is very uncomfortable during the summer. Firstly it is very heavy and secondly it is a non-breathable fabric. It makes you feel hot and also traps the sweat making you prone to fungal infections. Plus, when your skin is in constant contact with sweat and satin, it becomes prone to chaffing.
Silk--Even though it is a natural fibre, it repels water and doesn't absorb the sweat completely. But, it does get moist and often stinks because of the sweat. It is also prone to sweat stains (the yellowish stains in areas like the underarms) which damage the fabric. It is non-breathable fabric and it doesn't allow air to circulate properly, making you feel more hot in the sweltering summer.
Rayon--It is made from cellulose and is not considered synthetic by many. It is a cheap substitute to silk but is not very durable. Rayon doesn't absorb sweat, is more prone to sweat stains and tends to irritate the skin, causing rashes and itching.
Nylon--Nylon is the synthetic fabric you must avoid at any costs during summer. It is used to make stockings and gym wear. The fabric acts like a furnace, trapping the heat inside making you feel more hot. Plus, your skin is more like to get irritated when you wear nylon clothes.
