Banana peel: Mrs Geeta Ramesh, Director of Kairala Ayurveda Group says that banana peel not only helps in reducing the pain or discomfort but also prevents the spreading of warts. Take a banana peel and use it like a band-aid such that the flesh comes in contact with the wart. Keep it overnight and repeat for few days for effective results.
Indian sorrel leaves: Commonly used in Ayurveda, Indian sorrel leaves can also help in getting rid of warts . For this, make a paste of the leaves by adding few drops of water. Take the paste and rub it against warts twice a day till it starts to fall off.
Onion: A kitchen ingredient, onions can help you to get rid of warts, particularly caused due to a viral infection. As mentioned in a book by H K Bakhru , rubbing cut onions on the warts can help as it contains antiviral and antibacterial compounds.
Fig: Fig tree latex is used as a traditional method to treat warts. All you need to do is apply the latex to warts. Moreover, use of fig tree latex therapy for warts did not show any side-effects. Instead, it showed low recurrent rate . The anti-wart activity is attributed to the proteolytic activity of the latex enzymes.
