Millennial burnout syndrome is a broad term which in a nutshell means becoming a part of the self-imposed career-obsessed generation where you burn out physically, emotionally and mentally. Some studies prove that this burnout can have huge impact on the mental health of millennials
Let's take a look at the symptoms
Mental exhaustion: Millennials affected by this feel drained and emotionally exhausted. In burnout, most of the symptoms are work-related. It includes the feeling of low self-esteem, hopelessness and suicidal tendencies.
Physical exhaustion: Symptoms include things like pain and stomach or bowel problems. Chronic fatigue is one of the biggest symptoms. Having all of these and not being able to overcome it, is a sign you should consult a psychologist
Reduced performance:It may start affecting everyday tasks at work, at home or when caring for family members. They become negative about their tasks.
Distancing from (work-related activities): Millenials who suffer from burnout find their job increasingly stressful and frustrating. They may start being cynical about their working conditions and their colleagues.
Finding it hard to concentrate: Concentrating on something becomes tough for them because of which they lose their creativity and become listless.
